Indian Summer

What else is there to say about the perfect Canadian icon - a summer day, a lake and a canoe. We are introduced to or cotton heros as they paddle to a portage. The ‘J’ is good - the ‘J’ is actually very good. But they are dressed in denim. Back on the dock there is appropriate admiration shown on the faces of ‘the guys’ lounging in their rolled up jeans and cotton shirts as the safety angel paddles up to deliver a message of caution. The point of her visit is made immediately. Do Not Wear Cotton on the water. The point is emphasized as she tosses a scrap of clothing at them. ‘Jewelry is OK’ is implied by her elegant gold necklace but cotton is not. Angels paddling is choppy but she is sitting on her ankles and that can hurt. I don’t know why she wasn’t wearing a lifejacket.
